Introduction To Devices Screen 

The Devices screen shows more information on the devices that are connected to the Ray Wi-Fi Access Point via Wi-Fi and LAN. 

 

To Access Ray Devices Screen, 

 

Step 1. Login to your cloud controller https://cloud.ray.life/ with your username & password.

Step 2. Click on Devices

Step 3. Select the SSID from the top dropdown for which you want to see the Devices screen.

Step 4. Turn On the “Aggregate Child” toggle if you want to see the data from the child clusters. 

 

 

Let’s explore the various options. 

Recently connected devices

 

Connected: This lists the devices which are connected to the Wi-Fi right now. 

Recently Connected. This lists the devices which were historically connected to the Wi-Fi. 

 

 

All devices


 

This option is selected to show only Wi-Fi devices or LAN devices or ALL devices. 

 

Note. If your cluster is in NAT mode, then you might see duplicate devices in the devices tab you have a Ray AP in Gateway mode and other Ray APs in Repeater mode.  

 

 

Radio-wise connected clients

 

This option is to select to show devices only connected via 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz or All (i.e. both 2.4 & 5 GHz).

Category-wise devices(Phone/Tablets/Laptops)

This option allows filtering the devices between the following categories. 

  1. Computers. These include windows and Linux desktops and laptops. 
  2. Apple. This includes apple laptops, desktops, iPads, and iPhones.
  3. Android. This includes mobiles running Android OS. 
  4. IoT. This includes IoT devices. This is a roadmap feature.
  5. All. Show all devices. 

 

Signal-wise filtering

 

Filter the devices on the Signal Quality they are receiving. 

 

 

 

Search (Device name / MAC Address)

 

 

You can search for a specific device by its MAC Address or device name. 

 

 

IP Reservations -Whitelist/Blacklist Devices

 

 

You can include the devices with IP Reservation and Whitelist/Blacklist in the Search Option.
